What is CAC (customer acquisition cost)?

CAC is the total cost of acquiring one paying customer, calculated as acquisition spend divided by new paying customers.

CAC is higher than CPI because only a fraction of installs convert to paying users. Include creative and tooling costs for a fully loaded figure.
